A hostage situation reported to Ubisoft Montreal appears to have been triggered by a hoax emergency call. Police say “no threat has been identified yet“and evacuated the building.
It all started early Friday afternoon local time when news began to circulate about the police evacuation in Montreal’s Mile-End neighborhood.
According to local media TVA Nouvelles, the Montreal Police Department (SPVM) sent tactical units after a 911 call. At the time of the emergency, Ubisoft employees fled to the roof.
Ubisoft Montreal is the studio behind the recent Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and the title to come Roller skating champions.
