FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WPTA21) – Fort Wayne Police report one fatality and one in life-threatening conditions after an accident on Saturday morning.
The accident allegedly happened around 8 a.m. on Clinton Street.
Police said a fire engine was responding to a call when drivers saw another car going “too fast for the weather”.
Authorities said the car then hit a curb and spun out of control before hitting the fire truck.
Police tell us the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene as the driver was taken to hospital in life-threatening conditions.
Officers say no one in the fire truck was injured.
Police blocked Clinton and Grove for more than 3 hours.
