A drunk driver went to a "high speed" house in central California on Saturday night, killing three people: a mother, a father and their 10-year-old son asleep in their home. bed, announced the authorities.
An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized for serious injuries, reported Fox 40.
The driver, 33-year-old Ismael Huazo-Jardinez, was treated for minor injuries, the authorities said. He faces three counts of manslaughter as well as drunken driving, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred in Sutter County, California. The video of the scene shows a house totally demolished.
The authorities told KCRA that Huazo-Jardinez was not slowing a lap and that his Chevy Avalanche was bursting into the house – described as a trailer – around 10 pm.
The family were "very diligent" farm workers, according to the report.
"If you add alcohol and speed, it's the recipe for disaster," CHP spokesman David Hernandez told KCRA.
