One told MPs he fell asleep and woke up only then, the other said the child watched cartoons and had must have slipped out of the apartment while in the other room. Taken: A resident of Boulevard Lafayette said on Wednesday that four outdoor security cameras had been removed from his residence. He said his ex, with whom he shared access to view the recordings, had just blocked his ability to view them. He was advised to contact detectives.
Threat: A Highland Avenue resident showed police a threatening video text a woman she knew sent on Wednesday. The post reportedly showed the other woman pulling the trigger multiple times on an unloaded handgun resembling a Smith & Wesson. The woman in the video was then seen in the passenger seat of a full-size red pickup truck passing the appellant’s address, pointing the gun at the appellant, police were told.
Assault: A woman who is expecting her boyfriend said she was assaulted by a man following her into the lobby of Fort Steuben apartments on Wednesday. She said the man grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the ground. Police said they saw a light red mark on either side of her throat and a scratch on her back. She described him as a bald man wearing a black jacket. She told police she wanted to press charges, but was told they would have to identify the man first.
Bed: A man walked into Kwik King on North Seventh Street and removed a case of Zippo lighters on Wednesday. The man, accompanied by a woman, then fled in a silver four-door sedan, store staff said. The 16 stolen lighters are valued at $ 480, police were told.
Storm issues: City workers responded to reports of fallen tree branches and light poles on Wednesday. Officers blocked the roadway and removed branches from National Highway 7 northbound to Market Street. The branches posted in the southbound lanes of State Highway 7 on Logan Avenue had already been cleared when police arrived, but a light pole had fallen that did not block traffic and traffic. street service has been informed.
