NATICK – Police fell on the Crowne Plaza Hotel Tuesday morning after a bullet was fired into the lobby, causing the evacuation of more than 75 people who had sought refuge in the nearby Mall, Natick or in their car, officials said.
The victim, who was not identified, was not touched by the only shot fired by one of the suspects who were in the hall of the road 9 monument at the time of the attack, said Natick's chief of police, James G. Hicks, to the scene.
According to Mr. Hicks, none of the guests or staff members were physically injured during the incident that began around 3 am, according to state police, "he said. one of the many law enforcement officers who dispatched police officers to the scene, which would have originally been a gunman.
At around 6 am Hicks said that the hotel had been searched and that none of the people suspected of being responsible for the firing from the only shot fired in the lobby was at the hotel. # 39; inside. Guests were allowed to return to their rooms, he said.
Hicks stated that the guest apparently targeted by the shooter was being questioned by the police and that the surveillance video of the hotel's security system was being reviewed to assist in identify the people involved.
He added that the victim was being asked to retrace his steps in the hope that the attack had occurred, which would have brought the SWAT teams to the state police and a service Regional police on the scene, as part of the intervention of the forces of the order.
He said the police were confident in the fact that the suspects were no longer at the hotel, but added that the police were not quite sure of the type of vehicle with which she was had fled to the scene.
