Police say a Virginia man arrested at the DC checkpoint had a gun and high capacity magazines

Washington, DC, police arrested a 22-year-old man from Virginia near the Capitol grounds on Sunday who they said had three high-capacity magazines, a gun and 37 rounds of unregistered ammunition.

The Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to The Hill that officers arrested Guy Berry of Gordonsville, Va., Around 2:35 am Sunday, “with the listed gun clearly visible in a holster.” 22, and officers found that he was not allowed to carry a handgun in the nation’s capital.

The man’s aunt from Virginia, who asked not to be named, told the outlet that he was not on Capitol Hill the day the pro-Trump mob entered the building. She also told the Washington Post that her nephew was a supporter of the president. She said he “always carried his gun” and that he “was one of those open-ended people”.
