Popovich keeps the sense of humor after a quick ejection

DENVER – The Spurs coach, Gregg Popovich, has not lost his sense of humor after being ejected just 63 seconds after the 113-85 defeat against the Nuggets on Wednesday night.

The ejection has been the fastest coach since Flip Saunders was launched in a 106-second match in 2012.

It is not certain that this is the fastest ejection of a coach in the history of the league. Joey Crawford sent Dallas Mavericks coach Don Nelson 93 seconds into a game against Minnesota at the Target Center on December 7, 2004.

Popovich got two quick techniques after arguing that a foul should have been made against the Nuggets, while defending a missed rider in 13-foot fadeaway by LaMarcus Aldridge with 53 seconds to play and the Spurs led 3-0.

While Popovich refused to talk about what was happening between him and the referees, he was content to say, "You'll have to ask the officials," he's amused before leaving the Pepsi center.

Coming out of the building, he crashed at the press conference of Denver coach Michael Malone.
