PopSockets reinvents mug handles – The Verge

PopSockets, the manufacturer of smartphone handles, is embarking on the mugs business. The company plans to integrate koozies with its contextual signature tabs that stick to the backs of phones. The new product, called PopThirst Cup Sleeve, is naughty, but should fit most "coffee cups, pints, and drink cups." As you can see below, it is also ideal for Frappuccinos.

The PopThirst works with hot and cold beverages, and comes in two sizes: one for cans and one for cups. Both sizes cost $ 15 and incorporate a PopGrip, or what you probably consider to be a PopSocket. They will go on sale on September 15th.

It is not known how this device is supposed to work. Are you supposed to hold the PopGrip like a handful? Are you supposed to hold PopThirst then use PopGrip as additional support? When asked this question, a spokesperson only stated that the handle was "designed to help you hold your drink more easily and avoid spills". Stay at your own risk!
