Porsche 718 Cayman Facelift, 718 Cayman GT4 spy undisguised

It's been almost three years since Porsche introduced the latest generation of Cayman, or rather the 718 Cayman, and we all know that adding these three numbers has meant losing both cylinders and getting a turbocharger.

The Stuttgart-based company knew pretty much what it was doing: the decision to switch from the naturally aspirated power plant to the forced-line 4 of the 982 series was not really a problem for us.

However, it seems that the 718 Cayman has to be redone while an undisguised prototype has been seen strolling the streets of Stuttgart.

Based on the video, it seems that the changes in the future 718 Cayman will not be significant. The front fairing is pretty much the same. The prototype however has a different set of rims, but that would not be conclusive or surprising.

At the rear, however, the new 718 Cayman is equipped with a restyled diffuser. It is more robust and the dual exhaust outlets are now separated from each other, as before. Beyond that, there is no visible deviation on the redesigned version – a story that would be pretty much the same for what's inside the engine compartment.

The same downloader on Youtube also saw the 718 Cayman GT4 completely undisguised on the same street in Stuttgart (video below). The legally on the road version of the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport has been proven in the Nürburgring to ensure that its imminent launch will not disappoint its customers.

The engine of the future Cayman GT4 718 is still not clear yet. Some say it would act from a detonated variant of the naturally aspirated six-cylinder 4.0 liter 911 GT3 generation 991, while many believe it would use the same six-cylinder flat of 3.8 liters of his brother Clubsport.
