Sunday’s Week 19 game between the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders at Providence Park has been postponed to 7:00 p.m. PT due to a forecast of excessive heat in Portland, t -on announced Wednesday.
The Cascadia Cup rivalry game was originally scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT. It will air nationally on FS1 and FOX Deportes.
Sunday’s clash marks the second time the Pacific Northwest-based clubs have met in 2021, with the Sounders previously coming out 2-1 winners on May 9.
The Sounders come in as the second-best team in the Western Conference, while the Timbers sit in sixth place.
