The Portland Trail Blazers have officially announced their NBA Summer League roster in Las Vegas next week. According to posts on their social media, the Trail Blazers have 15 players on their roster.
Among the list of names are Nassir Little and CJ Elleby, Blazer rookies for the past two seasons. Join them, Greg Brown, the team’s choice (43rd) in this year’s draft. Trendon Watford is also a new acquisition for Portland, which has just signed a two-way contract with the team.
Several NBA veterans are also on the list. Kenneth Faried was drafted in 2011 and spent eight years in the NBA before moving overseas to play for the Zhejiang Lions in 2019. Michael Beasley was drafted 2nd overall in the 2008 Draft. He played in several NBA teams for almost 11 years before spending time playing abroad as well. Jordon Crawford was not drafted until he went to play abroad. Emmanuel Mudiay was drafted in 2015 and has played with the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks and Utah Jazz.
Several players have also spent time in the G-League and have played for various teams abroad. The Trail Blazers Summer League games will be held in Las Vegas from August 8-14.
