Considering that the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) had an undisputed focus on software, it seems reasonable to expect renewals on Apple's hardware lines for the remainder of 2018. A little more specific (and usually accurate) in their bets, the famous market analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently shared his predictions for the end of the year of Apple.
In a note to investors, Kuo says the company will announce three new iPhones during its traditional Keynote of September. But there are also plans for new versions of Mac mini, iPad Pro, iMac, MacBook Pro and Apple Watch – plus a good likelihood that AirPods and the new AirPower wireless charger will come into production later this year. According to the analyst, in addition to presenting the next generation of their smartphone, Apple is also expected to launch an iPhone X Plus with an expanded OLED screen. The line should also win an input device with a 6.1-inch screen equipped with an LCD and some cutting features – such as 3D Touch, only available on the most expensive models.
Apple Watch with New Display
On the new generation of Apple Smart Watches, Kuo plans to launch a much larger screen watch than the current models – with versions of 1.57 inches and 1, 78 inches. Gadgets should also include fast-response heart rate sensors.
Macs with upgrades (and input model)
Still according to the analyst, Apple intends to significantly enhance its range of personal computers. Overall, Mac mini, MacBook Pro, and the 12-inch MacBook must have "significant performance improvements" – which should include both processors and displays.
Kuo also says that a new laptop will be revealed at an accessible lower price, although he made no mention of the space that the device would occupy in the line (some would bet on a new location for the MacBook Air). Nothing has been said about the already proverbial problem of some models with the keyboard, though.
iPad with new design and without home button
The Apple tablet should also look new in September. According to the analyst, the iPad Pro will win new versions with 11 inches and 12.9 inches of screen – both without the physical button Home. Finally, he hopes the models will also adopt Face ID this year (leaving aside the Touch ID).
