The royal battle version of Fortnite, which was just a free mode inspired by PUBG when it arrived, ended up making the game a worldwide success that continues to grow. According to Bloomberg, now the game has the impressive number of 200 million players worldwide.

The mark represents a 60% growth compared to the latest issue published by Epic Games in June. At the time, the game had 125 million registered users. The main effect of growth is to take advantage of the arrival of the title on a larger number of platforms, such as Android smartphones and the Nintendo Switch.

Launched last September, Fortnite's Battle Royale mode quickly became popular as it is free and runs on entry-level computers. Over time, Epic Games has released several game updates and enhancements, such as content seasons, that have monetized and kept the game alive. This success has also led to several partnerships, notably with Disney and recently with the NFL.

Like other real combat games, Fortnite puts 100 players in an arena, the size of the card decreasing with time. The main differences of the game are the cartoon-style graphics and the construction mechanisms.

Currently, Fortnite can be played on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS.
