In RDO, the player will create his outlaw (male or female) and his own gang, who will also have a customizable camp.
The plot takes place after the events in the main story of Red Dead Redemption 2 and starts with the character fleeing the prison.
The multiplayer will use the same map of the open world of solo, which includes the areas of New Hanover, West Elizabeth, Ambarillo, Lemoyne and New Austin. It will be filled with major missions, secondary quests and specific modes.
It will be possible to buy private estates, horses and carts to grow your name in the Wild West. The maximum level to reach is 50.
PvP duels are back, as are the Rockstar Editor, editing tool and private sessions.
If you murder another player, you will have a price on your head, making your outlaw a target for others.
The trends multiplayer are:
- Shootout team: is the traditional team to kill. The map includes the docks of Saint Denis and Bolger Glade.
- racing: they are executed from one point to another which will be divided into three types, modifying only their location.
- The most sought after: it is the traditional elimination, which imposes prices to the players to eliminate the others.
- Name your weapon: Players will choose the weapon they want and will receive points according to their choice.
- Hostile territory: is the traditional "capture the flag". Teams must dominate certain areas to earn points. If a team captures all the sites, it automatically wins.
- Make it count: Described by many as Old West Battle Royale, the mode includes 32 players in a small area of a circle. Only one player will be victorious and it will be possible to use only arrows and knives.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Red Dead Online can be accessed by any player who already has a copy of RDR2.
