From next month, the new plane of the TAP fleet begins to fly and the first destination is already chosen: Brazil …
The new Airbus A330neo joins the TAP airline fleet and is the first company in the world to receive the aircraft. TSF has had the opportunity to visit it and describes it as huge, offering its passengers more space and comfort. The aircraft has three rows of seats, divided into three classes, with different benefits for customers. It also highlights better fuel efficiency, reducing by about 25% and emissions by about 14%.
The publication indicates that seats can be turned into beds, fully tilted back (in business class). The seats are fitted with bulkheads, providing more privacy to the passengers, highlighting the space to read and eat without being disturbed. The bathrooms have smart faucets, connecting automatically without needing to touch them.
In total, the plane can carry 298 passengers, divided into business class, with seats completely flat (34 seats), 96 seats in economy class and 168 seats in economy class. However, the aircraft can change configuration and allocate 440 passengers, according to TSF. The interior of the aircraft ensures even more storage space, including hand luggage.
In order to provide increased comfort to passengers, especially on long journeys, the aircraft is equipped with noise reduction systems. In addition, the lighting is endowed with a RGB system of 16.7 million different colors, allowing the configuration and simulation of different periods of the day. In order to give more rest to the pilots, in their cabin, you will find dormitories in a small basement with beds.
Obviously, a new generation of aircraft could not lack entertainment technology. We are talking about access to high definition monitors with touch screens and connectivity, so you can watch movies or surf the Internet in flight.
During the aircraft delivery ceremony at TAP, which took place Monday in Toulouse, at the Airbus center, it was announced that this would be the first of 21 aircraft purchased. By the end of the year, there will be at least two A330neo in circulation, the rest being scheduled for 2019.
The inaugural flight of the new plane will take place on December 15, Brazil being its first destination.
