The event "Tasting of Madeira", organized by MEP Cláudia Monteiro de Aguiar, takes place at the European Parliament in Brussels. The initiative, which has the collaboration of the Regional Secretariat for Tourism and Culture, the Commision for the commemoration of the 600th anniversary of the discovery of Porto Santo and Madeira, the Madeira Promotion Association, of the Institute of Wine, Embroidery and Crafts Madeira and the Bandolins Orchestra of Madeira, officially opened their doors this afternoon and will remain patents until the 29th.
Nuno Brito, Portugal's ambassador to Belgium, said at the opening ceremony that "celebrating Madeira, it is to celebrate life because it is one of the most beautiful places of the world". The diplomat encouraged everyone to visit the area and see for themselves, adding that Madeira was an important part of world tourism.
