ANACOM approved to determine to MEO the application of the annual price of the transport and broadcasting service of the digital terrestrial television (DTT) signal of 885 100 euros per Mbps, which corresponds to a reduction of 15.16% of annual prices by Mbps MEO invoices television operators (RTP, SIC and TVI) for the provision of DTT service.
According to the information provided by ANACOM, the reduction of 15.16% of the price requested by MOE was preceded by an assessment during which the authority concluded that the prices currently in effect, agreed between the company and television operators, does observe one of the principles introduced by the law n ° 33/2016 of August 24th.
According to the evaluation, the prices exceed the price limit presented in the bid having won the call for public offers for the allocation of the right to use associated frequencies at Mux A (885,100 euros per year and per Mbps).
