Three new vaccines will be available in the national immunization plan

The National Immunization Plan (NIP) will now include three new vaccines by 2019: the meningitis B, rotavirus and HPV vaccine for boys. The proposal was approved this Tuesday in the specialty of the state budget.

The first proposal to extend the PNV to the vote was signed by the PCP and counted with the votes in favor of the PSD and the BE, the abstention of the CDS and the vote against the Socialist Party. The BE proposed to include vaccines for meningitis B and rotavirus, as well as to extend vaccination of the human papillomavirus – which is already part of the girls' PNV – to boys.
