Asterix & Obelix XXL2 reissued as a new game appetizer

After a lot of waiting – for Tutatis, what an agony! – finally come out on November 29 the highly anticipated remastered version of Asterix and Obelix XXL2, which already comes with special editions for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Asterix and Obelix XXL2 is actually a kind of appetizer for Asterix and Obelix XXL3, which should be published in 2019.

Originally published in 2006 by Atari, Asterix and Obelix XXL 2 It remains only for PC and PlayStation 2. The game plays with the icons of the world of players since its original cover, which mimics the series GTA. Some Roman enemies are inspired by Mario, Sonic, Crash Bandicoot, Rayman, Pac-Man and Ryu (Street fighter). There's even a stage chef named Lary Craft – any resemblance to Lara Croft is in any case just a joke – and another named Sam Shieffer (Sam Fischer, of Splinter Cell) …

Already Asterix and Obelix XXL 3, scheduled for the second half of 2019, it promises a more modern look, giant fights and riddles typical of the Gallic world created by the French-Belgian genius Rene Goscinny in the late 1950s.
