BE also submitted a proposal to include vaccines against meningitis B and rotavirus and to extend the delivery of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine to men.
The ENP proposal, however, aimed to extend the HPV vaccine to boys.
In 2019, the ENP put forward another proposal that the government guarantee the financial availability of the drug intended to treat spinal muscular atrophy, in the event of a favorable medical evaluation, to be administered. type I and type II patients in all hospital units of the national health service ".
According to the explanatory note, "it is urgent to administer the appropriate drug to promote the treatment of patients with spinal muscular atrophy to patients who need it in National Health Service hospitals."
"Every day that passes, with no possibility of access to the drug, is another day when the situation of these patients is visibly deteriorating," they explain.
