Get to know Osmo Pocket, the small 4K camera with DJI carrycot

DJI is famous for its drones, such as the Phantom and Mavic series, but its latest product is a small camera capable of recording images at 4K resolution and comes with a recording stabilizer, which is a stabilizer for hands. The company has leveraged its drill stabilizer experience to create a compact and convenient version to use.

The Osmo Pocket weighs only 116 g and is actually a pocket version of Osmo, another DJI camera with the same system. When you turn off the camera, the cardan turns your lens inward to protect it, so you can keep it safe and reliably. Despite its name, Osmo Pocket does not use the Osmo Zenmuse camera, but rather the technology applied to the small drones of DJI.

To view what you are filming, you have a choice between two options: a small screen with touch screen technology built into the device or you can connect your smartphone via a USB connector to get a larger screen.

The three-axis gimbal camera uses a 1 / 2.3-inch sensor and can capture images at a maximum speed of 60 frames per second at 100 Mbps. DJI says the Osmo Pocket can handle up to two hours of recording 4K scenes at a frame rate of just under 30 fps. Osmo Pocket costs $ 349, or about $ 1,344 and will be available from December 15th.
