Aids and show that prejudices do not affect only the other, but drive us all away.
São Paulo's visual artist, Andréa Tolaini, is responsible for creating the 4-meter Your Heart with My panel, which adorns the entrance to the unit. The idea is to break the myths surrounding HIV / AIDS and the bearer. "The HIV-positive body is a socially abandoned body with many prejudices," says Andrea, who created a representation of the contact between serodiscordant people, with hands that are sought after leaving different hearts and creating a space of nature and of freedom. "Hands should not meet to touch each other," he says.
Loka Efavirenz
Tolaini was inspired by the coexistence with the collective Loka Efavirenz, which uses the name of one of the drugs used in the daily cocktail administered to people living with HIV. The mural will be finalized this Saturday with the collage of lambs – poster collage technique – made by teenagers participating in the Se Liga! SESC, which discusses love and prejudices.
Andrea Tolaini is also responsible for the fanzine, distribution by members of the group, carrying HIV, in Fique Sabendo action. It is also composed of the distribution of condoms and information, as well as free test points. "I wanted to bring people who live this reality, because I can not talk about this experience alone, so I ask everyone to speak with the heart, or rather to feel the heart," he says. The action is a partnership with the municipality's STD / AIDS prevention center.
Despite the difficulties of approach of the subject, the artist reinforces the enriching experience of the debate with the members of the collective. "Knowing the side of the wearer is very rich, those who live in this area can talk about hidden information," he said on the importance of breaking myths and the need to discuss HIV status as well as protection and inclusion of people living with HIV "Contact will not kill anyone. The love, affection and care do not transmit diseases, "he concludes.Besides the panel of Andrea Tolaini, the unit hosts the theater company Fuxico, which presents the Lambe-Lambe theater, which brings together miniatures and stories about AIDS in different phases of life.
In São Caetano, Sesc also took steps to mark the date. The unit performs Saturday (1st) the artistic intervention The magic for a full life, with Cia Cambaio.
