The pilot is caught sleeping at Tesla with the autopilot activated

Cars equipped with autopilot function can only enter this mode if the driver knows it and with hands on the steering wheel, ready to take over if needed – the current state of trust of the intelligent systems of these cars are still far from complete control of what is happening in the traffic. However, it seems that a young Morotist ignored this fundamental law and decided to take a nap while a Tesla model was doing all the work alone for him.

The scene was identified on Freeway 405, a car-and-truck-driven car located in Southern California, USA. A passenger from Shawn Miladinovic's vehicle, who was in a nearby car, noticed the driver's situation, filmed the guy and called the California Highway Patrol to alert the incident.

Check the moment:

About 48 km later, Shawn again associated with the Tesla and noticed that the driver was still sleeping heavy, his eyes closed, not moving and his hands close to the body, not near the steering wheel. The police have not arrived at the time on the site but will use the images to try to identify the driver and inflict the necessary fine.

This is not the first time this has happened: in February of this year, another driver carrying a car from the same manufacturer was also caught taking a nap.
