An amateur video allowed PJ de Setúbal to capture the gang leaders who murdered in June the owner of a cafe in Cova da Piedade, Almada, during a robbery. The group is suspected of having committed nine other similar flights between April and June. They have always attacked Tuesdays and Fridays, days when the volume of bets on the Euromillions is at the rendezvous. They are already in detention.

According to CM the two leaders of the group, aged 19 and 23, were hunted in Monte da Caparica, where they lived on Tuesday evening as part of an operation supported by the GNR intervention unit, which extended to Seixal and Setubal.

They were identified after PJ 's Forensic Science Laboratory had been able to reveal the face of one of the suspects from the footage filmed with the cell phone of a witness.

The crime was committed on June 8 at Anita Cafe in Maria Lamas Street. Hermenegildo Varela tried to defend the woman from the assailants, but was shot in the stomach and could not resist. The group had well defined roles: who drove the car, always stole, who carried the weapons and even who spoke to the victims.

They never brought a phone and the cars were dropped or burned after the robberies. They are suspected of several similar crimes, still in paper mills, gas stations and cafes that have been betting on social games.

The investigation goes on to identify the remaining members of the group who participated in the murder.
