Volkswagen Autoeuropa agreed to pay 120,000 euros to be able to park up to 8,000 cars for 93 days at Montijo Air Base. The protocol also provides for the possibility of extending, with military authorization, from 8,000 to 10,000 parking spaces in case the company will have to pay 50 additional cents per day and per car.
For each employee entering the base, Autoeuropa will also pay an additional € 26.60 per day for the cost of water, energy, cleaning and meals.
Air Force avoids the unexpected
By avoiding the unexpected, the Air Force has also obtained a clause allowing it to terminate the protocol at any time, without any obligation to pay any compensation to the company.
