In an interview with Antena1 and Jornal de Negócios, ACAP Secretary General, Hélder Pedro, said that despite the availability of the Ministry of Finance, the government is not progressing without a report from the European Commission on the subject. Hélder Pedro hopes however that a transitional order is made to guarantee this neutrality. Otherwise, the ISV may still have 10% increases this year and, as a result, the IUC will also increase. By 2019, if nothing is done, the tax increase could reach 100%. Helder Pedro argues that by 2019, the government can restructure the vehicle tax tables.
