UA 21-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of assaulting and murdering a 29-year-old woman last August in the Quarteira district of Faro.
The judicial police report that the murder took place on 27 August. O the corpse of the victim was found "partially charred inside a car" which was parked in a "wasteland near the city of Quarteira".
Despite the state of the woman's body, the inspectors of the judicial police were able to conclude that the the victim was "beaten, tied, gagged and killed" by the 21 year old who has "Antecedents for violent crimes".
The suspect, unemployed, will be brought before a court to enforce his coercive measures.
