"Ikea is asking all customers who have purchased the Glivarp Frosted Glass Tablestop product to stop using it and send it back to an Ikea store where it will be fully refunded," the furniture giant said in a statement.
The decision to recover this product is the result of customer complaints that the expandable table flap could come off.
"Since safety is always a priority, all Ikea products are tested and comply with the safety standards in force in all markets where they are sold," says the Swedish chain, although it now calls for the return of the product. 39; section.

The item was on sale until recently in Portugal for around 249 euros.

This is already the fifth product that Ikea is asking customers to send back this year.
The brand has been involved in a number of scandals involving products marketed around the world. In the United States, Ikea has even been ordered to pay damages for the deaths of six children due to the lack of safety of the brand's dressers.
