Earlier this year, a group of six doctors decapitated Lego figures for Science. The pediatricians swallowed the little heads trying to answer a question that is often asked them: "My son has swallowed a piece of Lego, how long will it take to leave?"
According to Australian doctors, who are also scientists, the average time needed to evacuate the swallowed piece is about 1.7 days. However, one of the doctors had not yet found the "yellow head" two weeks later.
Doctors have concluded from experience that swallowing a small play is not usually a major problem for children. However, they stress that parents must be vigilant.
