CWith the advances in the world of robotics, it is more than certain that we will start to see robots distributed in the most diverse jobs. Ford anticipates this future and has unveiled a robot that will be able to fulfill the postman function, delivering orders to the door.
The humanoid robot called Digit and was developed jointly by Ford and Agility Robots. Digit can support weights up to 18 kg and is equipped with a series of cameras with sensors and cameras allowing the robot to analyze the surrounding environment. If there is a problem that Digit can not solve, images of the obstacle are sent to the operator on the delivery truck.
For now, Digit is just a prototype, but according to TechRadar, Ford is already developing a second generation model, which will be revealed during the summer.
