The CEO of Mytaxi and the mobility advisor of the Lisbon City Council attended the official presentation.
From now on, you will have another means of transportation available in Lisbon: Hive, the Mytaxi electric scooters that will be in the company of Lime. More and more mobility options are available in major cities nationwide and bicycles and scooters are attracting more and more people, especially tourists.
At the moment, hives are available in some areas of Lisbon, part of a system floatingthat is, they are "abandoned" anywhere, without needing to find a docking station of the mark, as it is the case with the bikes. Despite the same price, the company believes that its service offers superior quality and that the operational model differs. In addition, the company says that at present, there is more cooperation than competition to take advantage of the sector and change the mentality of people.
Eckart Diepenhorst, CEO of Mytaxi, says his team has been working hard for the last three months, having decided to get into the scooter business. A fully operational company that starts today, he adds, and Lisbon is the first country to benefit from the mobility system. Lisbon was chosen for its favorable climate, but also for the good relations with the municipality, as well as for the technological flexibility and the conditions offered by the capital during the last 10 years.

Miguel Gaspar, councilor for mobility of Lisbon City Council, emphasizes the city as a multicultural city and all the technological effort to make the capital attractive for new mobility solutions, as an alternative to the traditional public transport system.
