A NASA's probe is already on Mars. Shortly after landing successfully on the planet, InSight presented us with its first image of Mars, which NASA shared on the social network Twitter.
"I'd like you to be here! NASA InSight sent its first photo after landing on Mars," the space agency wrote on Twitter.
The picture shows the plain Elisyum. There are also several black spots that, according to Rob Manning's statements, are probably dust particles that the probe captured during its descent to the red planet. Future images will be clearer once the dust has been removed from the camera.
I would like you to be here! @NASAInSight sent home his first picture after #MarsLanding: The InSight view is a flat, smooth expanse called Elysium Planitia, but its workspace is located below the surface, where it will study the deep interior of Mars. pic.twitter.com/3EU70jXQJw
