In almost two years on the market, the Nintendo Switch has sold more than the PlayStation 4, sold for five years. The figures come from the Japanese market and have been revealed by Media Create. The account is valid for the basic model of the PS4 (the original and Slim).

The data indicate that between March 3, 2017, the switch has sold more than 6.67 million consoles up to now. Already the PS4, launched in 2013, has sold to 6.54 million dollars in the country. The account does not include the PS4 Pro, the most powerful model of the console. By including it in the account, the PS4 has sold more. The PS4 Pro alone has sold just over a million copies, bringing the Sony account to 7.54 million consoles marketed in Japan.

The Switch also offers the best selling games in Japan: in the week before Christmas, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Party, Super Mario Party and Pokémon Let's Go, respectively, were the best-selling sales in the country. In the same order, since the respective releases, the games have sold to 2 million, 742,000 and 1.2 million in Japan.
