Nintendo Switch very close to the 20 million units sold

Nintendo announced the financial results for the first quarter of fiscal 2018, which covers the period from April 1 to June 30, 2018.

According to the report (via Nintendo Life), Nintendo Switch already sold 19.67 million consoles since its release. During the aforementioned period, the console sold 1.88 million units, a decrease of 4.4 percent over the previous year.

For software, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (1.40 million units), Mario Tennis Aces (1.38 million units) and Nintendo Lab (1.39 million units) sold very well during the quarter. Unlike the console, there was a 120.8% increase in software sales compared to last year.

The Nintendo 3DS reached 72.89 million consoles sold, although signs of slowing sales are notorious: sold less than 61.9% of hardware and 49.6% of software compared to the same period in 2017.

Switch's performance led Nintendo to a net business turnover of $ 1.5 billion, an increase of 9%. Percentage compared to last year, with profits of 394.6 million dollars (42% more).
