Numerous smiles and emotions have marked the Department of Oncology at the Palmas General Hospital on Tuesday, October 27, in the morning, on the occasion of the National Day of Fight Against Cancer. Children treated for the disease received gifts from Santa Claus.

The 9-year-old Pereira Pâmela, who treats acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL), received a keyboard. "I wrote the note to Santa and I did not think that my wish would be granted, I am very happy," he said.

On this occasion, Pâmela's mother, Janicleia Pereira de Souza, sang the song "Tá na mano de Deus", composed by Géssica Santos. "I am very moved by my daughter's desire to be fulfilled, she has treated leukemia for two years, we live in Gurupi and every Tuesday I come to Palmas for treatment," he said.

Enzo Rodrigues Carvalho, 9, also received a gift. "I had a cell phone that I had asked for Santa, now there is something for me to play when I am hospitalized."
