Portugal has the sixth most expensive electricity in the European Union (EU), according to data published Tuesday by the European statistics office, Eurostat. As for the price of gas, Portugal is in 4th position.
According to published data, only Danish, German, Belgian, Spanish and Irish citizens have an electricity bill higher than that of the Portuguese.
The price of electricity per kW / hour in Portugal was set at 22.46 cents in the second half of this year, slightly above the euro area average of 21.87 cents.

With regard to gas, Portugal has the most expensive EU price room, only overtaken by Denmark, Sweden and Holland. Here, the price of natural gas is 0.08 euros per kWh.
