The regional government will donate 1.6 million euros to the Santo da Serra Golf Club for failing to fulfill the contractual obligation to guarantee "the flow of water necessary" for the normal operation of the land.
The problems that arise, especially in the summer, have already led to enormous financial losses, including making Madeira a destination of choice for golf.
