The CP will reduce the number of machines that must run at rush hour on two of the main lines. According to Diário de Notícias, the Sintra line is the most affected.

On August 5th, there will be no more direct train between Sintra and Alverca, which only ran during peak hours between 06:26 and 09:26. And the connection between Mira Sintra-Melecas and Rossio will be done every half hour, instead of every 20 minutes.

On the Cascais line, trains will run every 15 minutes instead of 12, between Cais do Sodré and Cascais. And in the peak hours, there will be less than two trains per hour.

Also cuts on the West Line. There is no direct train between Caldas da Rainha and Coimbra, which lasts one hour and 55 minutes. Passengers will have to tranship at Amieira Station for a triple electric car manufacturer, which has not been used for 5 years. There will be only two trips a day, instead of three, between Caldas da Rainha and Sta Apolónia.
