Bulgarian international midfielder Simeon Slavchev signed a three-year deal with Qarabag, the fifth Azerbaijani football champion announced Thursday after Sporting untying. Slavchev, 24, had a contract until June 2019 with which he arrived in 2014 of Litex Lovech with the status of "best sportsman" and best young player of Bulgaria in 2013. He played two games for the Main team of lions, which gave him successively to Bolton, Appollon Limassol and Lechia Gdansk
The midfielder is the fifth rookie of Qarabag, who obtained, among other things, the acquisition of the Icelandic keeper Hannes Thór Halldórsson, who defended a penalty taken by Argentine Lionel Messi in a draw 1-1 both selections of the 2018 World Cup.
