Croatia's Luka Modric, voted the best player in the world by FIFA, has won another award, which now goes to the Federation of History and Statistics of Football (IFFHS). The Croatian midfielder was considered the best playmaker of 2018, succeeding the Argentine, Lionel Messi, who had distinguished himself in the last three years.

The star of Barcelona now appears in second place, while the Belgian Eden Hazard closes the podium. Cristiano Ronaldo appears in 10th place.
