In an interview with A BOLA, Germán Conti, a 24-year-old Argentinean national, explains why he chose Benfica rather than other clubs who were also interested in his contract.
– This was an opportunity I had been waiting for a long time. I was very happy, I feel that I have the conditions for this to be a big step in my career and that I am looking to seize the opportunity.
Did you have any other offers?
– Yes.
– I preferred to jump in Europe and into a big club
Why did you choose Benfica? I would never regret coming to a club like Benfica.
– No, I did not talk to Argentine players before I arrived. They were on vacation and did not want to disturb them. I knew how great Benfica was. I learned more about the internet and the truth is that it is a wonderful club.
