The general director of health said Thursday that she feared that Parliament's decision to include vaccines in the immunization program does set a precedent for medical prescription.

According to Graça Freitas, the three vaccines included in the PNV by Parliament are being analyzed by the technical evaluation committee.
With regard to rotavirus, the Director General explained that, from a strictly technical point of view, the disease "does not have enough weight in Portugal" to be a candidate for a universal vaccination program.
