When Ryanair staff went on a three-day strike on March 29, suspicions of harassment and pressure on striking workers prompted unions to seek the intervention of labor inspectors. The Labor Conditions Authority (ACT) confirms that it has "followed the strike" at the airports of Lisbon, Porto and Faro. The unions who called for the strike assert that "other unions in several European countries" support the initiative, "but due to legal restrictions they can not call to strike for the moment ". And they leave the warning: "If Ryanair continues in this impasse, other industrial actions could follow in the coming weeks," reads a statement.

Four months late
Open investigation is not stopped, says ACT. But it is certain that almost four months after its opening, there are no conclusions either. "Given that due diligence is still ongoing to establish all the facts, it is premature at this stage to proceed with the results," says the ACT communications officer in response to questions raised by Expresso [19659008]. At the time of the strike inspections in Portugal, ACT found it necessary to ask Ryanair's headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, as well as its subcontractors Workforce and Crewlink, for a wide range of information.
