In the 1990s and early 2000s, the concerns were different from those of today: instead of taking pictures to update the social networks, the important thing was not to let the Tamagotchi doll die. Thus, this toy – which at that time looked like the most advanced things in the world – accompanied children all over the world, so they never ran out of food and water, and kept themselves clean. He is now back, ready to change the habits of the youngest (and to leave the parents nostalgic).
But this time, users will not take care of a simple character. With the partnership with The Pokémon Company, the drawing becomes an inspired version of Eevee, the character of Pokémon. Taking care of the doll, she will grow up and can even follow eight levels of development, all well known by Nintendo fans: Espeon, Umbreon, Sylveon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Leafeon and Glaceon.
The new Tamagotchi are smaller than the original. In the nano version, they exist in two different colors: the Standard Edition, in Brown, and the "Colorful Friends", with a pink cover and images of the different stages of Eevee's evolution. . In addition, the character can buy different accessories, such as hats and flowers.
Ready to take it everywhere?
According to Serebii, the official Pokemon website, the launch of this edition of Tamagotchi is scheduled for January 26 in Japan, but the product will not cost 2,300 yen (the corresponding price). approximately 18 €), will be available in other countries. Thus, it remains only to wait, making friends, that it soon arrives in Portugal.
This is not the first Pokémon inspired by Tamagotchi. As early as 1998, the Pokémon company published the Pocket Pikachu, in which users had to take care of Pikachu itself, as well as the Pokémon Breeder Mini.
