SpaceX once again ran a speed contest with Hyperloop pods, which enabled the winner to break his own record by winning the event for the third time in a row.

WARR Hyperloop, from the Technical University of Munich, reached nearly 466 km / h with the capsule, on a 1.25 kilometer track in the city of Hawtorne, California.

This year's competition marks a breakthrough in Hyperloop technology. In the first two editions, participants had the opportunity to speed up the pod on the test track with the help of a SpaceX vehicle called "pusher", or propellers. This year, all nacelles have their own means of propulsion.

There were 20 teams participating in the competition, coming from 40 different countries; the German team played first place with teams from Switzerland and the Netherlands. The students also had to test the levitation of the pods, keeping the vehicles aligned while they were traveling on the tarmac.
