After presenting the new generation of the X3 and the unprecedented X2 in Brazil, the BMW has confirmed the arrival of its X7 to the country in 2019. The model is the first seven-seater SUV of the German brand. The car will make its first physical appearance at the Los Angeles Show in the United States from November 30 to December 9.
Revealed in October and inspired by the X7's iPerformance concept, the BMW X7 will hit the streets to compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Audi Q7. In addition to the Germans, British rival Land Rover Discovery and Volvo Sino-Swedish Volvo XC90 also offer seven-seater options.
The idea of the brand is to manufacture a "SUV Series 7", putting the maximum of luxury and technology in the new model. The look is striking, with a "unique blend of presence, exclusivity and space", according to BMW itself. The X7 is equipped with the largest grille in the range, matching the dimensions of the model.

The wheels are 21 inches, the roof is almost flat and the windows are chrome. The rear doors are longer for easier access, especially in the third row. Already, the trunk lid is divided into two parts, as in the X5.
In total, they are 5.16 meters long (almost a Ford Ranger double cab), 1.99 meters wide and 1.80 meters high. The wheelbase is 3.10 meters. They measure 22 cm more than one X5, 12 of them only in the inter-axes.
Inside, the latest technology produced by BMW. The cluster of instruments is virtual with 12.3 inches, even measure the central screen of the entertainment system. There is four-zone air conditioning and 10.2-inch rear screens. The audio system is equipped with a Bowers & Wilkins speaker.
The second row of seats includes three classic seats, which can be folded as needed. But there is a choice of two simple chairs. The third row has received a lot of attention from BMW. It can therefore accommodate "adult passengers on a long trip".
X7 will have diesel or gasoline engines
Initially, the X7 will be sold in four versions. The xDrive40i has a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo and 340 hp. The set is able to take the bulk from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.8 seconds. The xDrive 50i comes with the 4.4-liter V8 and 462 hp. The extra force reduces the acceleration time to 5.2 seconds.
In Europe, the model will always be offered with two diesel versions. The xDrive30d has 265 hp extracts from a six-cylinder, while the top M50d has a 400 hp diesel V8. The transmission for the four engines is the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Although the model is focused on comfort, the suspension is pneumatic and features dynamic control. The system has cameras that scan the road and can adjust the suspension to predict imperfections. In the most powerful versions, BMW offers a dynamic package, brakes and an improved differential.
