Possible observation: Ford Ranger 2021 redesigned?

[ad_1]

The Ford Ranger 2019 is a novelty in the US market, but it is based on a design that exists in other parts of the world since the 2012 model year. As such, it deserves a redesign, and the detectives at the wheels magazine got wind of the truck's new potential style.
Spotted uncovered near Melbourne, this prototype more or less matched the size and stature of the current Ranger, but had a style clearly inspired by the F-Series pickup. The C-shaped headlamps, the two-bar grille and the distinctive nostrils of the small truck recall the current F-150 and the all-new Super Duty 2020, while its flared tusks seem to take a page from the F-150 Raptor.

In addition, the new truck appears to have a front frame-mounted steel bumper, like the American Ranger, and not the plastic front bumper cover of the global truck. The unique rear image does not show much, although a chrome rear bumper is obvious, as well as an oblong badge in the center and unusual tail lights, which do not look like the Ford.

As wheels rightly points out that the growing relevance of the Ranger for the North American market could explain why the new truck would draw as much from the long-lasting vehicle of this market. But again, it is also possible that this is the best attempt of another manufacturer to copy the F Series. The Australian magazine has not been able to take a peek inside (thanks to the windows occult), which could have helped to determine the origin of this small truck.

We have heard through the vine that it was possible that our market only has a few years to enjoy the current Ranger before it is replaced by a new generation, and these photos only stimulate this pot. But if the new Ranger, probably for the 2021 or 2022 models, looks like this truck, we will not complain at all.
