A possible tornado passed through the town of Coweta on Sunday evening.

News On 6 Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer and News On 6 Storm Tracker Von Castor tracked the storm around 10:45 p.m.

Castor said he saw a tornado and said it hit Coweta High School, located at 14705 S. 305th E Ave.

According to Coweta Police Chief Mike Bell, the storm ravaged part of the town from the Coweta Heritage Intermediate Grade Center and made its way to Coweta High School before hitting a gas station near the East Highway 51 and South 305th East Avenue.

Police said the Coweta water and sewer service is currently without power due to the storm. It is currently unclear how the outage will affect city services.

This is a developing story.
