A controversial poster showing a photo of Muslim representative Ilhan Omar under a picture of the Sept. 11 World Trade Center bombing led Friday to a clash between supporters at the West Virginia State House.
According to NBC News, one person was injured during the scrum and another staff member resigned after accusing Muslims of being terrorists.
The incident occurred at a Republican – sponsored event and called the WVGOP Day, which was held in the West Virginia Capitol Building.
The Washington Post reports that, although the person or group behind the poster has not yet been identified, it seems to be positioned next to a panel for the ACT For group. America, accused of being anti-Muslim.
