NEW YORK (WABC) – The biggest lottery prize in months rose after no tickets matched the five numbers and the Powerball drawn on Saturday night.

The numbers were: 42-38-47-52-28 Powerball: 1

Now the price is increasing to around $ 670 million.

The estimated jackpot amount refers to the winners who choose to be paid via an annuity over 29 years. Most winners prefer the cash option, which for Monday’s draw would be estimated at $ 474.8 million before taxes.

The Powerball jackpot slowly climbed thanks to 40 consecutive draws without a big winner, a record-breaking streak for the game dating back to June 5. There hasn’t been a bigger Powerball jackpot since a prize of $ 731.1 million was won on January 20. Saturday’s $ 635 million grand prize would have been the 10th largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever to be won.

Mega Millions also airs on abc7ny.com/lottery on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 PM.

While there was no big winner in Wednesday’s draw, the New York Lottery announced Thursday that a second ticket worth $ 1 million has been sold in Brooklyn. The ticket was purchased from Foster Island Corporation at 9702 Foster Avenue.

And the New Jersey State Lottery has announced three winners of $ 50,000 in the Garden State, one in Woodbridge, Clifton and Elizabeth.
